Step 4 and 5: I applied various effects on the artist, and made him almost appear fuzzy and somewhat disappearing through static interference and motion. I believed this would not only make the design appear unique and attractive, it can also subtly illustrate the stereotypical mind-set of a grime artist and exemplify upon the chaotic, untamed and anarchic mentality of a grime and rap performer, which shows that he has a complicated, deep life (also to be highlighted in various of his music). Therefore this adds to the mystery of the artist, that entices people to find out more about him. I also took the means to re-colour the sticker on the hat and the ring on his finger as I believed the colour had lost it's intensity due to all the effects having been put upon the design.
Step 2 and Step 3: Decided to use two very differentiating and distinctive effects upon the image in these two steps in order to see which would appear better looking and more appropriate towards the grime audience. Whilst I strongly believed that the design towards the right was very fitting and connotive towards grime, as the colour scheme fits well for the audience and the effects in general also reflect a somewhat 'retro' look, I decided to at least temporarily go with the design on the left for now and develop upon it, because I enjoyed the sleeker, warmer and smoother look of it and also believed that the dark, brown tone is illustrative towards the grim, darker grime scene. It was also in greater need of development, whereas the design towards the right would have been suitable just how it is, so I thought regardless of whether the browner version succeeds that design or not, I could still potentially go back to the other design without having to do much else to it.
